A Faithful Woman vs. An Atheist

Once upon time in mBantul lived an elderly faithful lady,Marsinah, who was well-known for her faith and for her confidence in talkingabout it.
She would stand in front of her house and say "God bepraised" to all those who passed by.Next door to her lived an atheist, Nyono, who would get soangry at her proclamations he would shout, "There ain't no Lord!!"
Hard times came upon Marsinah, for the last two months sheonly ate “nasi aking” (dried rice) and she prayed for God to send her someassistance.
She would pray out loud in her night prayer "Oh God! I needfood!! I am having a hard time, please Lord, PLEASE LORD, SEND ME SOMEGROCERIES!!"
One night Nyono happened to hear her as she was praying, anddecided to play a prank on her.
The next morning Marsinah went out on her porchand found a large bag of groceries.
She raised her hands and shouted, "Godbe praised!.
"Nyono jumped from behind a bush and said, "Aha!I told you there was no Lord.
I bought those groceries, God didn't.
"The old Marsinah laughed and clapped her hands and said,"GOD BE PRAISED.
He not only sent me groceries, but he made the devil payfor them!"
